Funding Timelines by Installer
Axia Funding Timeline
Axia has updated their pricing to be more aggressive. This includes a major shift toward moving commissions to M3 (PTO) to align with the domestic content incentives that lenders qualify for and are issued at PTO.
M2: Remaining balance after the PTO (M3) holdback is applied
M3 (PTO Pay): A fixed amount ranging from $0.20 to $0.90/watt, varying based on state, PPA escalator, and whether or not the project includes a battery.
Example 1: A 10kW system with a total payable commission of $21,000 and a PTO Pay of $0.90 — M2 will be $12,000 and PTO will be $9,000.
Example 2 — No M2 payment: It is possible for there to be no M2 payment, with the entire commission paid at PTO. If that same 10kW project was priced with a total commission of $8,000, then $0.00 would be paid at M2 and the full $8,000 would be owed at PTO.
Trio Front: In the event there is no M2 payment, Trio will front up to $250/kW to a setter or closer for Trio internal reps.
PTO pay is dependent on AC mods being used. No AC mods = no PTO pay.
M3 Payments
M3 payments are not triggered by a job status in Monday.com. While a job status in Monday can be a good indication, M3 payments are issued based on when the Trio Project Manager marks a job as PTO or complete — and may be issued several weeks after that milestone is reached.
If you're waiting on an M3 payment, allow time for the process to complete before reaching out.
How Trio Issues Payments
Trio issues payments the same day payments are received from install partners. Most accounts marked as install complete prior to Friday are issued the Friday the following week. Occasionally, accounts marked complete late on Friday or on Saturday may be delayed.
